2019 DECLARATION OF NON-FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF THE DESCOURS & CABAUD GROUP 12 AN ASSERTED CSR APPROACH CorporateSocial Responsibility, orCSR, is thecompany’s contribution to Sustainable Development. Necessary for companies to improve their competitiveness and meet the social and environmental challenges, it aims to establish a better balance between three inseparable aspects: economic, social and environmental. A leading player in professional distribution, DESCOURS & CABAUD undertakes to act to promote responsible distribution with the help of its CSR approach. CSR is a veritable lever of performance for the company, a way of improving its economic, environmental and social efficiency. It must also help the Group progress in the control of its activities and its impacts, generate cost savings and propose a responsible and innovative commercial offering. Accordingly, since 2013, the “Positive Programme” has defined our ambition within the framework of concrete projects, in order to make a beneficial contribution to our customers, partners and employees. DESCOURS & CABAUD strives to be forward-thinking in its approach to CSR. It is a process that involves numerous avenues to explore. TheGroup's commitment to sustainability is underpinned by four priority pillars for action: • Propose and promote "responsible" consumption • Guarantee the safety of people, preserve the environment • Stimulate talent and development of skills • Act as a community-oriented company SPONSORSHIP POLICY Throughout its history, DESCOURS & CABAUD has been involved in numerous sponsorship projects, either directly or through foundations. Rooted in long-term partnerships, these actions are an expression of the Group’s sense of civil responsibility and its desire to help others. Accordingly, DESCOURS & CABAUD has been supporting initiatives for several years, all of which focus on community outreach outside of our business units including: Sport dans la Ville (helping our youth through sports), the Club of the Saint-Pierre museum (Club of the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon), Fondation Emergences (sponsorship of skills), the Catholic University of Lyon (UCLY), Hospices Civils (civil hospitals) of Lyon (improving admission and comfort in hospitals, medical research and innovation projects).
