2020 DECLARATION OF NON-FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF THE DESCOURS & CABAUD GROUP 14 AN ASSERTED CSR APPROACH Corporate Social Responsibility, or CSR, represents the company's contribution to Sustainable Development. Necessaryforcompaniestoimprovetheircompetitiveness and respond to social and environmental challenges, it aims to strike a better balance between three indivisible dimensions: the economic, social and environmental aspects of our activity. Amajor player in professional distribution, DESCOURS & CABAUD is committed to acting in favour of responsible distribution using its CSR approach. CSR is a fully-fledged performance lever for the company and a means of improving its economic, environmental and social efficiency. It must also allow the Group to more effectively control its activities and its impacts, generate savings and propose a responsible and innovative commercial offering. Accordingly, our "Positive Pro- gramme" has since 2013 defined our ambition within a framework of spe- cific projects designed to make a beneficial contribution to our customers, our partners and our employees. DESCOURS & CABAUD advances pragmatically through this responsible approach. It is a process that involves numerous avenues to explore. The Group's commitment to sustainability is underpinned by four priority pillars for action: • propose and promote "responsible” consumption; • guarantee the safety of people, and preserve the environment; • stimulate talent and develop skills; • act as a community-oriented company. SPONSORSHIP POLICY DESCOURS & CABAUD has been involved in numerous sponsorshipprojects, eitherdirectlyor throughfoundations, for many years. Rooted in long-term partnerships, these actions are an expression of the Group’s sense of civil responsibility and its desire to help others. Accordingly, DESCOURS & CABAUD has for several years supported initiatives that are close to its origins, participating in each project in a spirit of transmission and a desire to assist and to share the company’s root values: Sport dans la Ville (“Sport in the City”) (promoting the integration of young people in the working world through sport), the Club of Patrons of the Saint-Pierre Museum (in support of the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon), the Fondation Émergences (sponsoring the development of skills), the Catholic University of Lyon (UCLY) , the Fondation des Hospices Civils de Lyon (HCL Foundation) (improving patients’ well-being and comfort, medical research and innovation projects in the Lyon hospital system).
