DNFP 2020

2020 DECLARATION OF NON-FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF THE DESCOURS & CABAUD GROUP 27 The means of control: In 2020, Tech’Up, DESCOURS & CABAUD’s in-house university first founded40years ago, decided to intensify its investment in e-learning. Given the context of the health crisis, Tech’Up was also able to set up a large number of distance training courses that had previously been dispensed in face-to-face sessions. This required a major redesigning of teaching procedures and the provision of additional IT back-up to ensure access to training in the best possible conditions. The development of new functionalities on the e-learning platform encouraged employees to follow their distance training sessions online, particularly thanks to the automated sending of automatic emails. We thus saw our employees log in on 198,000 occasions in 2020, compared with 55,000 times in 2019. This helped to maintain an expansion of employees’ skills throughout this period. This solid support allowed for the timely roll-out in 2020 of a new digital Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, which will also make it possible to store and share out internally relevant sales information. Distance training modules (transmitted essentially by video calls) were thus introduced so as to help employees in the field as much as possible to learn how to master new tools. In total nearly 1,850 training courses were imparted using a combination of e-learning modules and virtual classes. The setting up of this approach was combined with the appointment of locally established specialists who made it possible to disseminate a level of acceptable expertise all over France. In addition virtual communities of “Key Users” (specialists) were created, depending on the projects concerned, so as to exchange information about best practices and also to encourage the transmission of skills. They also provide back-up to integrate new employees into the company. The events of 2020 made it very difficult to create occasional trainers (whether in-house or external), but this project will be launched in 2021. Finally, tests are currently taking place to establish WebTV with content exclusively created in-house so as to disseminate best practices. All these initiatives are designed to ensure the flexible and standardised transmission of knowledge and ex- pertise within the Group. They also make it possible to enhance our Employer brand outside the company. Key performance indicator: A quiz is a very objective way of assessing the acquisition of knowledge about precise themes, and practical techniques in particular. Designed and validated by various different experts in the fields concerned, the difficulty of such quizzes makes it possible to standardise and enhance the level of skills acquired. The number of employees trained increased by 400. Since distance training courses normally involve a shorter format and the Campus face-to-face programme had been reduced, the number of hours of training per employee was reduced.
